Fair Trade Alpaca Scarves — Peru
These scarves come from Peru, where alpaca fiber has been part of everyday life for generations. They’re made by skilled artisans working within fair-trade cooperatives — people paid fairly for their labor and craftsmanship, using fibers sourced and woven close to home.
Alpaca is naturally warm, lightweight, and breathable, making these scarves ideal for cold days without the bulk. The texture is soft but sturdy, built for real wear — winter walks, market mornings, and long stretches outdoors when warmth matters more than polish.
I didn’t make these pieces myself, but I chose to carry them because they’re well made, ethically produced, and rooted in a tradition that values both people and material. They’re simple, practical scarves with a long lineage behind them — made to last, made to be worn.
Solid Color Size: 8"x72' (not including fringe)
Striped Size: 12"x64" (not including fringe)
Please note: color may vary slightly due to lighting and screen settings.
Care Instructions:
Hand wash gently in cool water with a mild wool or alpaca-safe soap. Do not wring. Press out excess water and lay flat to dry. Alpaca fibers relax with wear and care, becoming softer over time.
